The International Trade Practice at Veirano Advogados provides consulting and litigation services at a local, regional and multilateral level. The Practice is situated in the São Paulo office, but has local coordinators strategically located in the Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro offices to assure fast and efficient nation-wide support to its clients.

At the national level, Veirano Advogados has professionals with vast experience in dumping, subsidies and safeguard investigations and reviews before the Departamento de Defesa Comercial (DECOM), the Brazilian authority responsible for conducting these administrative proceedings, as well as before Brazilian Courts. In addition, the Practice provides consulting services on product tariff classification, rules of origin, customs valuation, import licensing, technical barriers, etc.

Our team is also active outside Brazil, providing consulting services to associations and companies on Mercosur issues and negotiation of trade agreements. Most counseling in this respect relates to rules and market access. In addition, the Trade Practice works in collaboration with foreign law firms to assure the best and most efficient representation of its clients in trade remedy proceedings outside Brazil. In the past, The Practice has represented Brazilian producers and exporters before Government authorities in Mexico, the United States, Ukraine, the European Union, etc.

The International Trade Practice at Veirano Advogados also offers consulting and litigation services to Brazilian and foreign clients in multilateral negotiations and disputes before the WTO. Veirano Advogados is proud to be the first, and thus far the only, Brazilian law firm to independently assist the Brazilian Government at the WTO.
