Professional Experience
Roberta is a partner at Veirano Advogados and has been a member of the firm since 1998. She has extensive experience in project development in the areas of infrastructure and natural resources, encompassing bidding procedures, acquisitions, construction and financing of major projects.
Roberta assists foreign and national clients in matters regarding corporate, regulatory and administrative law, and has been involved in projects, mergers and acquisitions, and financing deals in the power, mining, water and sewage, ship building and logistics sectors. Roberta has represented several investors, sector associations, and concessionaires within the power industry and before the National Agency for Electric Energy – ANEEL in connection to regulatory matters and concession regulation and has large experience in the areas of power distribution, transmission, trading and generation (including projects of large hydroelectric power plants, PCHs, wind, biomass, solar and gas, coal and heavy oil thermoelectric plants).
Roberta holds a post-graduate degree in Public Law by the Federal University of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and a Master of Law – LL.M. by the Columbia University School of Law, where she was awarded honors as Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar (2009). Roberta also acted as International Associate for Allen & Overy LLP in New York (2009-2010).
